WHAT ABOUT BEFORE AND AFTER?

Did you ever wonder how materials are selected for your baby´s diaper. Or where they will end up after you have thrown them in the bin... Or maybe what can be done in production to reduce the environmental impact?
This is our story about how it all works.

ONLY THE BEST WILL DO...

We ensure that all materials we use are safe and free from any harmful chemicals. Your baby’s wellbeing is what matters the most to us. All materials we use in our products are carefully selected, of high quality and environmentally sound. And we always make sure that our suppliers care about the environment, quality and working environment just as much as we do.

WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY ALL THE WAY

For every diaper we produce, we make sure we are aware of how our products affect the environment throughout their whole lifecycle. We investigate and try to minimize the environmental impact all the way from the first bit of raw material, throughout production, transport, usage and even after the used diaper is put in the bin.

Do you know where the diapers will end up after you have thrown them in the bin? Well, we do. If you live in the Nordic countries for example, the used diapers will be collected and then most likely incinerated to provide your community with its necessary heat and power.*

WE KEEP DISCOVERING WAYS TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE WORLD

We constantly work hard to make our own production more resource efficient. Our goal is to make use of 100% of all resources entering our production by the time we reach 2030, meaning we eliminate all production waste. We are not quite there yet, and for sure it will not be an easy job! But we will do our best by changing behaviors relating to how we manage waste, design our machines and processes to be smarter and make continuous investments to become continuously better.

We are also constantly searching for new, more high performing materials for products and packaging, which also allow better waste management and improve resource efficiency. We have recently started a new partnership with the waste-to-product company Renewi. The ambition with this co-operation is to develop a recycling pilot for diapers in the Netherlands where we can learn more about recycling for the future.
