We would like to explain a little bit more about us so you can see if this feels right for your baby

Why do we focus on baby’s comfort so much?

Your baby will be seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching things that are all new. This is the time when your baby will be curious and would want to explore. We believe it will be more comfortable for your baby to be in diapers that are flexible enough to follow his/her movements without losing its fit. And just like us adults, your baby will also want to sleep comfortably in better fitting diapers. This is important as research shows that 50% of the Human Growth Hormone* (HGH), which is essential for your baby’s growth, is released during deep sleep in baby’s early years. As a mother, we hope you can see being comfortable in a flexible diaper is key not just for your baby being happy but also for your baby’s overall physical, emotional and mental development.

Why do we provide so many Drypers sizes?

Although you disagreed, we want to explain why we provide a broad assortment of Drypers. Not all babies that weigh the same look the same. The circumference of their waist and thighs can be different. These factors have to be considered when you buy diapers. Only then will they fit perfectly. Otherwise they tend to leak and make your baby very irritable and uncomfortable. The tight edges too can hurt your baby’s delicate skin. . And since SCA, the parent company behind Drypers, also produces diapers for grown-ups (called TENA) in hospitals, we have extensive knowledge about how it feels. It is with this understanding that we have produced up to 4 different Drypers that fits your baby’s weight.

Does this feel good for your baby’s well-being?

Why additional information can be helpful

It is believed that up to 80% of new mothers experience ‘baby blues’, a feeling of let down that includes crying for no apparent reason, impatience, irritability, restlessness and anxiety. The changes in your hormone levels, lack of sleep and the anxiety of being a new mother can contribute to this. The best support is to speak to your family and friends, of course. You can surf the net for additional information but you almost always have to check the source. That can be tiresome. Isn’t it good to know that you can find all the information in ONE place that you can trust? The advice, tips and information you get from our Online Drypers Baby Club is based on our many years of experience having followed hundreds of thousands of births and gaining valuable insights from talking to millions of mothers worldwide.

Why do we believe in the everyday little moments?

A strong mother-child bond in the early years fosters a great sense of security and is a solid foundation for your baby to grow into a more confident and self assured adult. Research has also proven that skin-to-skin contact - placing your baby on your bare chest - does wonders for both baby and you. It reduces cortisol levels (stress hormones) and helps baby sleep soundly. Breastfeeding, when at all possible, strengthens the bond and teaches you to read baby’s facial expressions and body language. Massage is also a great way to express your love for your baby. It stimulates the release of oxytocin in your own body which facilitates attachment and bonding. We believe the nurturing little moments you spend with your baby will bring you closer to him/ her and will go a long way in your baby’s emotional development and overall growth.

A company that values life and the environment

Today SCA, the parent company behind Drypers, is ranked high in prestigious world awards because we have delivered and earned the trust of millions worldwide. For instance, we were the first in the world to substitute fuel oil with wood powder in our Ostrand Pulp Mill. We are in the pursuit of reducing CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and triple our biofuels from the forests. These are some of our many efforts to combat climate change which affects all of us including our children who are the future. This responsibility and commitment goes all the way and we ensure that the products we manufacture for your children, including Drypers, reflect the great beliefs we uphold.

We hope our explanations have helped you understand why these guiding principles and values are very important to us.

We understand babies need the flexibility to move freely to exercise their motor skills as physical activity helps promote early brain development and learning.
